I have been ripping 100s of my drone videos (in some cases repeatedly at different steps) - this can take anywhere from 2-24 hours, even with an 8-core Ryzen. If `perfection really does start at SUU Design' one thing that I desperately need is an estimate of time remaining for any given batch. I mean, the application obviously does an extensive pre-read of the files when you load a folder of videos (which includes size/length of video), so VTM has the information it needs to run a calculation. The remaning time calculation could be provided based on the performance of the first rip. The mathematics is dead easy.

I can implement that rough estimation easily.

Another question is - I am interested in why 100s of videos could run up to 24 hours? Could you please provide a sample? Do you create animations?

I did not mean to suggest it would be easy, just that you have the information necessary with the pre-read of directory contents (file list) and that it would be extremely useful. Even if it was the difference between knowing it was going to take 20 mins and 90 mins, at least I could plan my work a whole lot better :ugeek:

As for the rips, I can provide a sample, though they are horrendously large 4k, and often count up to 1000, though I do not rip thumbs with animations.

Thank you!

I would like to check a single file.
Could you please send me the link to PM?

Hello. Maybe a simpler solution could be enough (for me it would be): instead show time remaining, show elements remaining.

It is true I miss a basic application response from time to time when using in background ThMaker by Videonizer to create screenlists, for example by showing the count of videos remaining.

The same for Adding Video Folder feature in Videonizer.

Thx for the excelent support!

I think time remaining would be of far greater value, but each to his own :)

Of course, obviously time remaining is more appreciable... if the value is accurate. But I feel it will not be easy to calculate the remaining time, due to external factors to the application. And if the time remaining provided is estimated and the variation is x2, x4, etc. sincerously, the data would be unuseful.

Anyway, it's only my point if view, according to my experience. I respect yours and reiterate it's the best option if it's posible. And, second factor, admin is the creature's father so he knows best than anyone the key. :D

Thx!

Please clarify, because you have the numbers in Videonizer when creating screenlists:

counter.png (5.92 KiB) Viewed 18489 times
The same is for VTM.

You're right, sorry. The escenario occurs when using the option "Add video folders"

Thank you. I apologize for the confusion.
