Windows 7 Pro (German) x64. Registered user.
I pick "Choose shots manually" (both 1 and 2 have the same result) from the right-click context menu of the list view. The same thing happens every time:
A windows pop open for a very brief time and it closes again.
I can even hold the "1" or "2" key and does it pretty quickly too. I've tried running the program with admin rights. So far no luck. The windows that pop up just close again right away.
I tried changing engines too.
The log shows this:
[INFO] [19:03:50] Program started
[DEBUG] [19:04:09] .... Engine 2 DxPlay function failed
[DEBUG] [19:04:11] .... Engine 2 DxPlay function failed
[DEBUG] [19:04:31] .... Engine 2 DxPlay function failed
[DEBUG] [19:04:33] .... Engine 2 DxPlay function failed

I tried the Crystal and the Ultimate engine, because I'm not going to install Codec packs that I absolutely don't need for anything else, potentially messing up my system. I use FFMPEG encoders and transcoders most of the time.
Is there something special I perhaps need to do to use the "choose shots manually" feature ? Perhaps I overlooked something.

Thank you. That's good to know.

But it did not work yet. The CCCP codec pack 64-bit is installed. Every engine still give the same result. A shame your "ultimate" engine is not used, or cannot be used.
It's still an excellent tool.

Installing the 32-bit version of the codec pack worked. I could turn on CUDA decoding in the CCCP Settings/LAV Video Settings as well.
Thank you for your patience.
