VTM 6.4.0.3 using Crystal engine fails to create thumbnails

I've been using Video Thumbnail Maker dating back to v1 and have been a registered user (Platinum) for as long. I've not run into issues until the v6.4.0.3 update. Everything was fine using v6.4.0.2. I am unable to create any thumbnails from any videos. I made no changes to the settings and if I downgrade back to v6.4.0.2 then everything works fine again.

On my system I have ffdshow rev 4504 and lavfilters 0.63 installed. These are required for BD Rebuilder and configured to work as they are required. They have never caused a problem. The only thing that has changed is the update to VTM.

Diag.log located in the VTM directory is not helpful, unfortunately, as it shows nothing useful. The thumbnail creation fails instantly.

I did some more testing. The issue only occurs when I use the Crystal engine. If I use Engine 1, 2, or Extreme then I have no problem creating thumbnails. So, the issue is clearly specific to changes made to the Crystal engine. I don't know where else the issue could be.
