Import function doesn't import rating set in another db

Import function doesn't seem to apply rating (number of stars) to video although the code is clearly there in the XML file, and tagging is successfully imported, so the import worked for other fields : extracted example:- <Comment> </Comment> <Rating>4</Rating> <CustomTitle> </CustomTitle> But ratin...

Re: Potential defect?=PC keeps asking for password on existing DB

Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes, the issue is about permissions. I use a NAS drive for my videonizer DBs . NAS drives are typically formatted EXT4, not NTFS, so windows properties does not show the security tab by default (same is true for FAT, in case any other users have a similar issue). So I'm ex...

Re: Potential defect?=PC keeps asking for password on existing DB

Any update please? This problem means I can only open the videonizer DB from the PC on which it was created (running win11if that's relevant- all other PCs run Win10) All my other PCs demand a password (which has never been set). Thanks

Is there a way to influence how many threads VTM uses?

One of my relatively lowly laptops uses 6 threads when using magic on VTM, whereas my super-powerful NUC desktop with 132GB Ram & 16 CPU threads available only uses 3 under Magic and is very slow. Both have silver licenses. Why is this and how can i improve the speed of VTM on my NUC?
Thanks

GIF file very small

I love the GIF functionality but is there any way to make the resulting file display any larger on my screen? At the moment the GIF plays in the centre of my display but occupies only about 1/100 of the available display - probably 3x3 cm on a 34inch display - I would zoom in if possible or create t...

Re: Does VTM take advantage of GPU-acceleration?

Is there a way to influence how many threads VTM uses? I have a CPU capable of 16 threads but Magic only seems to make use of 3 simultaneously.

Re: Potential defect?=PC keeps asking for password on existing DB

Thanks for your response. It only happens when the database is being opened from a NAS, although the PC can access the NAS normally for all other applications (e.g. I can see the Videonizer database in MS explorer or One-commander). Seems to be a problem with access permissions from this laptop to t...

Potential defect?=PC keeps asking for password on existing DB

I have licenses for 3 PCs but when I try to open an existing DB on one particular PC it keeps asking for a password even though I have not created a password for this database. The DB opens fine on the other 2 PCs without a password.

Re: Does VTM take advantage of GPU-acceleration?

Thanks for the advice. I've settled on an Intel NUC12 pro Mini with Core I5 (12 cores, 16 threads), 32b RAM, 4.4GHz CPU and 500GB SSD. Cost around €1,000 which seems pretty reasonable for this performance.. From what I've understood, this should speed things up somewhat!
Thanks again.
