Can we have this feature added to VTM please?

I want to be able to load a video file, and then tell the program to output a set number of images for that entire video. For example I load a 1 hour video and then want 5,000 images. So the program has to divide the number of images by the video length and space them out accordingly. The output image will be at the original video resolution, sequential numbering and with the option to add the time stamp (HH.MM.SS.MSS) in the file name. Right now I do this a lot but have to rely on a different tool which does this very thing. Given that VTM comes close to what that does, I figured it would be neat to have that feature available within VTM. This way I can use 1 program rather than 2.
Please note that I do not want to create a thumbnail sheet. It would be crazy to expect a thumbnail sheet of 5,000 images. I simply want to be able to load a video and get x amount of frame captures/screenshots for the length of the video. Right now we have a similar option in VTM "output each frame capture to a separate output file" - this is what I want without the thumbnail sheet. Right now the number of separate frame captures are limited by the number of boxes within a thumbnail sheet. So if a thumbnail sheet is 5x4 and has a total of 20 boxes, then only 20 output frame captures will be created. I want there to be no limitation by ignoring a thumbnail sheet input and just stating how many frame captures we want.
