Greetings,
In my search to simplify screenlists from creating both .vtx files and separate .mp4/.webp animated files in VTM, I turned off creating the .vtx version so I only have the .webp, animated version. I used to just go back and delete the .vtx files because I couldn't figure out how to not create them, but always preferred and used the animated versions anyway. This new process works perfect for me, because I like the animated screenlists more anyway and don't need the .vtx files. But now I've noticed, I can no longer edit or customize the screenlist in Videonizer. The weird thing was that when I had done it before (when there was a .vtx file there) even if I deleted it, it would change the animated version and work perfectly, even though I never used the .vtx version. But now with creating only the .webp version, the "right-click/Edit Screenlist F2" option does not show in the menu.
Am I doing something wrong, or is the ability to customize a screenlist reserved only for static/.vtx screenlists somehow?
Thanks very much!
Editing Screenlists - Bug or 'User Error'?
So after reading and messing around, I think it's my 'User Error'.
Here's what I understand. VTX files are the only files that allow editing of the screenlist and link/include a link to an animated portion of of the video that is show in the .vtx file. That's why there's 2 files (VTX is the editable screenlist, and .wepb is a linked/embedded animation that shows in the screenlist).
I had assumed an animated version, was the whole screen-list, but I don't think it really is. It'd be like generating a .jpeg instead of .vtx - it's just a "dumb" file, not an integrated file.
Apologies for the post, but it helped me sort through what was confusing me about Videonizer showing me I had 2 screenlists for everything, when I really just wanted one - a screenlist with an animation portion.
Thanks!

Hello,
Not sure what the problem is in you case, but animated screenlists are full-fledged.
They have all VTX features, the only difference is that they are animated.
You should be able to edit them in Videonizer.
Please make sure you are using the latest version of Videonizer and VTM.
