Time delay creating thumbnails from mkv files

The other file types are working very well.
But mkv files have a time delay ***.

In VTM8 the creation starts fast but at the end when it seems that VTM is done 100 percent (grafic is ready), VTM goes 10-15 seconds additional and after that the creation is done.
In VTM7 it is the other way around. The 10-15 seconds delay is at the beginning.

Engine test result:
The delay is existing in each engine, the time delay is more or less depending which engine is used.

*** depending which video resolution is used, the problem appears for resolution 0960 and higher

Is there an explanation?

Hello.

What is the size of your mkv video files?
I have tried several 2 GB mkv files and did not notice any delay.
Do you use jpeg format (or PNG)? I know VTM 8 version does not allow to choose output format, but you can do that in VTM version 7.

It's not a question of video file size.
It's a question of video resolution.

time delay
Resolution 0960x540: yes
Resolution 1280x720: yes
Resolution 1920x1080: yes

Resolution less than 0960x540: no time delay

Thank you

In my case the resolution was 1280x536.

1) Did you check picture file format?
2) I have tried 1920x1038 16GB mkv file and there is no delay at the end of processing. Could you rplease share your VTM Options and Settings?

Meanwhile I found out what happened.
I use a software program to cut large files in smaller parts. All mkv files with high video resolution generated by this software make the time delay problem I described.

No fault of VTM!

Thanks for helping me.
