Video Thumbnails Maker

The latest version of the program is available in the Downloads section of the site.


Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8+ is required to run the appliaction.

Video Thumbnails Maker allows you to create thumbnail sheets (caps, previews, screenlists), animations and screenshots of video files. The utility can be used for home-video cataloging and for network video sharing support.

You can even create animated thumbnail sheets!

Video Thumbnails Maker consists of:

The main advantage of the VIEWER is the ability to start related video-file right from a thumbnail sheet.
Moreover, you can start the video from the moment from which the thumbnail shot was taken!
VTX picture files are required to be generated.

Key features of the program:

Support of multi-core CPU, please find the difference on the chart.
Support of the batch processing of video files.
Support of practically any video file format. HDR 10-bit support, AV1, 4:2:0, 4:2:2, etc.
4 rendering engines, 2 of them use built-in (embedded) codecs.
Light speed fast Ultimate engine does not require any codecs from your side.
30 Special matrices. Special matrix is a matrix where large and small frames are mixed.

Command Line Interface

VideoThumbnailsMaker.exe [flags] [preset.vtm] video1|folder1 [video2|folder2] ...

If optional [preset.vtm] file is not specified, the program will use your latest GUI options.
Environment settings are taken from the main program.

Video Thumbnails Maker can be used to generate thumbnail sheets (Screenlists) for Videonizer items. Interaction between VTM and Videonizer is demonstrated below:
